Go-to-market starts inside the agent product
Positioning, acquisition, and activation work when the product makes a specific promise, proves it quickly, and exposes the signals growth teams need.
APP MY AGENT · August 15, 2026A category is not a list of capabilities
Agent products often launch with a catalogue of models, integrations, and autonomous tasks. Buyers still need a clear answer to three questions: what job changes, why this approach is better now, and what evidence reduces the risk of adopting it. Positioning should begin with the economic and operational change, not the architecture.
Design the first proof into the product
The strongest acquisition claim should become visible during activation. If the promise is faster exception resolution, the first session should surface a real exception, assemble the evidence, and help the user resolve it. Product and campaign measurement should share that event.
Connect acquisition quality to retained use
Clicks and signups cannot tell a team whether the market is real. Track the path from source and message to useful outcome, repeated agent action, human intervention, and retained value. That reveals which audiences understand the product and which promises survive contact with reality.
Run a proof-led launch
Start with a narrow buyer, a costly workflow, a credible before-and-after, and an implementation path that feels bounded. Use controlled acquisition and customer conversations to improve the product thesis before expanding the category story.
